KC Group are working with dynamic and growing SME business located in the heart of Birmingham who are recruiting a Financial Controller. With a strong focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, they have established themselves as a leader in their industry. As they continue to expand operations, they are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team and play a key role in driving our financial strategy and managing the day-to-day finances.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Financial reporting along with monthly management accounts
- financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, including forecasting revenue and expenses
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to ensure liquidity and financial stability
- Implement and maintain internal controls
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to support strategic decision-making
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Experience of working in a similar level role within an SME environment
- Proven track record of leading cash management, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
